Field Five covers an area of 4.75acres (1.92 hectares) and is mainly dense woodland with lots of thin spindly trees. The woodland floor is quite dark and wet underneath, but the whole area provides lots of shelter for the deer. Towards the north of the field they have a wallow. There are many different ferns in this area as well.

We have started to clear this area to produce small clearings. Already the increased light levels are encouraging the grasses to regrow.
