 This page contains details of the various jelly fungi that we have found at Quoditch.

TREMELLACEAE

 

 

This is Brain Fungus (Tremella Foliacea) and was found in the fourth field growing on a tree stump.

 

 

  This is Yellow Brain Fungus (Tremella mesenterica). This is on the branch of a tree about twenty five yards to the left of the gate. and is alongside a patch of lichen.

 

 

 OTHERS

This is Witch's Butter (Exidia Glandulosa) in Spring

Later it looks like this.

 

This is Exidia Thuretiana and we found it amongst some leaves in a ditch, semi-submerged in water. It is related to Exidia Glandulosa.

We found this one in January 1998 but, as yet, have not found a name for it.
